How do I earn money?
There are basically four ways in this world to make money, and those four are the main ones.
- Working for someone else while employed (full-time, part-time, contractual, seasonal, etc.)
- Being self-employed (e.g., through freelancing, engineering, medicine, direct sales, etc.)
- Selling goods and services (doing so in an organized manner) is part of doing business.
- Being an investor means funding other people's ventures (via stocks, bonds, fixed deposits, commodities, real estate, and other investments).
- 80% of the world's population lives in the first two items on the list, while the remaining 20% lives in items three and four.
Eighty percent of the world's wealth is held by numbers 3 and 4.
You will rank 1 and 2 just based on your high school and college education. There are abilities you can develop outside of a formal education that will help you reach positions 3 and 4 rapidly.
You now determine for yourself how you want to actually make money, and that is how you gradually get ready.
